Counselor's Corner

Ms. Hurt

Ms. Hurt

Couselor

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself! My name is Charlesetta Hurt and I am the School Counselor.  I feel very lucky to be part of UNIDOS!

My passion for school counseling began during my time as a student at Georgia Southern University where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Family and Child Development and then at Fort Valley State University where I earned my Certification in School Counseling. I have 10 years combined school counseling experience at the Elementary and High school level. What I love most about the elementary level is the genuine curiosity students have in their learning and the world around them, as well as the opportunity for early intervention support that can have a lifetime positive impact on a child.

As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students.  I look forward to offering support to the UNIDOS students, staff, families, and community.  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call (678-827-7947 Ext: 198121) or email me (charlesetta.hurt@clayton.k12.ga.k12.us ) at any time.

I am so excited to work with your children and get to know you throughout the school year! J

All the best,

Charlesetta Hurt
